Sticky Plant-Based Ribs

Method

• Soak the skewers in cold water for 10 mins (this prevents them from burning during cooking).
• Combine the smoked paprika with the cider vinegar in a small bowl, this is your vinegar mop.
• Cut each plant-based burger into 3 equal portions (to resemble rib shapes). Thread the 3 plant-based ribs onto the skewers (see video below) so that you have a rack of ribs.
• Place the plant-based rack of ribs into the oven-proof dish and drizzle with half the vinegar mop. Reserve the remaining mop for the glaze.
• Place the plant-based rack of ribs in the oven for about 10 minutes.
• Mix the Three Kings Pantry Maple Syrup Flavour Sauce into the remaining vinegar mop, this is your sticky glaze.
• Remove the plant-based rack of ribs from the oven and drizzle over the sticky glaze.
• Return the dish to the oven for a further 10-15 mins until cooked through and caramelised.
• Serve with fries or seasoned potato wedges and coleslaw or salad.
  
• Drizzle the plant-based ribs with more Three Kings Pantry Maple Syrup Flavour Sauce to serve if desired.

• Alternative Ingredients / Cook’s Notes
• Beef or pork burgers, veggie, turkey or pork sausages could be used as an alternative to the plant- based ribs if liked.
• Use Three Kings Pantry Salted Caramel Syrup Flavour sauce if you prefer your sticky plant-based ribs to taste a bit saltier.
